Terms of use

Purpose
KmerLoop is an online marketplace for classifieds, user matching, a provider directory, messaging, reviews, and related digital services (subscriptions, options, wallet).
These terms govern access to and use of the service. They form a contract between you and the platform publisher.
Acceptance
- By registering or using the service, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy.
- If you do not agree, you must not use KmerLoop.
- The binding version is the one published on the site; material updates may be notified by email or on the platform.
User account
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Your credentials are personal; activity under your account is presumed to be yours.
- You may close your account using available tools; some data may be retained for legal duties or disputes.
- The publisher may suspend or terminate accounts for breaches, fraud, community risk, or legal obligation.
Listings
- You are solely responsible for listing content (accuracy, legality, third-party rights including IP and image rights).
- Prohibited content includes, without limitation: illegal, misleading, hateful, violent, counterfeit, scam, or adult content not allowed by product policy.
- You grant the platform a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, technically reproduce, and adapt content for the service (formats, sizing, indexing).
- The publisher may remove, hide, adjust visibility, or refuse publication per moderation rules.
Providers
- Provider profiles must reflect a real activity; contact and qualification information must be truthful.
- Some features (e.g. contact unlock) may be paid; they provide access to information the provider published but do not guarantee quality of work performed off-platform.
- A badge such as “identity verified” may appear when internal KYC requirements are met; it does not endorse professional skill.
Messaging
- Messaging must relate to listings or profiles; spam, phishing, illegal content, or harassment is forbidden.
- Users may report abuse; the platform may restrict messaging or sanction accounts.
Reviews
- Reviews should be honest and based on genuine experience where the product requires it.
- The platform may moderate, hide, or delete non-compliant or abusive reviews and adjust response or dispute policy.
Paid services
- Subscriptions, boosts, unlocks, listing options, and other digital services are charged per displayed prices and currencies (e.g. XAF where applicable).
- Payments may go through third-party providers (card, Mobile Money, etc.). Failures, cancellations, and refunds follow on-platform rules and applicable law.
- For some manual Mobile Money top-ups, proof upload may be required; validation is done within reasonable time. Insufficient proof may be refused.
Wallet
- The wallet lets you credit an internal balance (in the displayed unit, typically XAF) and spend it on eligible in-app purchases (subscriptions, unlocks, boosts, etc.) per the offer.
- The balance is not a bank deposit and bears no interest; the exact legal character (prepayment, internal claim, etc.) must be confirmed with counsel.
- Movements are recorded for traceability, fraud prevention, and dispute handling.
Withdrawals
- You may request payout to a designated Mobile Money number subject to available balance and security rules.
- The publisher may distinguish numbers validated for identity purposes from numbers used for deposit refunds; caps or specific conditions may apply per the UI and anti-fraud policy.
- Withdrawals may be refused or delayed for suspected fraud, ongoing disputes, pending requests, missing KYC when required, or other legitimate reasons communicated where feasible.
Liability
- KmerLoop acts as a technical intermediary and is not, unless expressly stated, a party to sale or service contracts between users.
- The publisher strives to provide the service “as is” and with reasonable efforts; maintenance or force majeure may cause outages.
- To the extent allowed by applicable law, liability for indirect loss, loss of opportunity, or data loss beyond reasonable control may be limited — final wording for counsel.
Intellectual property
- The KmerLoop brand, interface design, code, and platform documentation are protected. Unauthorised copying is prohibited.
- User content remains yours, subject to the licence granted to operate the service.
Personal data
- Processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy, which is part of the contractual framework.
Governing law
- These terms are governed by the law chosen by the publisher (to be set with counsel; often Cameroon law for a Cameroon-focused operation).
Disputes
- Parties will seek an amicable solution. Failing that, competent courts follow applicable law and territorial rules (to be completed with counsel).
- Mediation or equivalent may apply if required or offered under local law.
